Organization Description
The Canadian Jewish Congress (CJC) was a national advocacy organization representing the Jewish community in Canada. Founded in 1919, the CJC worked to combat anti-Semitism, promote human rights, and support the interests of Jewish Canadians. The CJC engaged in lobbying efforts, community outreach, and educational programs to raise awareness about issues affecting the Jewish community in Canada. In 2011, the organization restructured and was succeeded by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA).
