Organization Description
The Florida Legislature (FLORID-8) is the legislative branch of the government in the state of Florida, United States. The legislature is responsible for creating and passing laws that govern the state, as well as overseeing the state's budget and finances. The Florida Legislature is made up of two chambers, the Senate and the House of Representatives, and is led by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House. Members of the legislature are elected by the residents of Florida to represent their interests and make decisions on their behalf.
